One reason of obesity is the work pattern of people. Those who sits in front of a desk for all the day, people like software engineers, accountants etc, tend to eat lot more unhealthy food items than those do manual labor. While sitting infront of our desk and thinking of our extra pounds the common excuse we make is the lack of time for physical exercises. But look closely to the problem, you can find enough time to do simple walking exercises at your office.
One way to control your weight is to control your diet which is of course quite difficult for us office people. And in our offices we tend to eat more. One way to avoid this extra calorie of food is to drink enough water. Make drinking eight glass of water your daily routine. This will help to reduce your appetite. Sometimes thirst is mistaken for hunger and instead of drinking one glass of water you tend to reach for a snack. Another good thing about this drinking water is that it gives you a room for exercise. You walk to the water cooler and why cant you count it as an exercise. Spending total ten minutes for walking to the cooler can contribute lot to your body.
Another method to control your over eating tendencies is avoiding those vending machines which provide you tasty but high calorie foods. Instead of going to the vending machine keep some low calorie snacks under your desk. This will considerably reduce the amount of high calorie food you are eating.
Another tip is to utilize your lunch time for taking some long walks. Instead of going to the car and driving to the nearest fast food, why not spend some time (and calories) walking there. Climbing stairs and walking small distances during lunch time can benefit your body.
Getting enough sleep is another good method of driving off unhealthy food habits. To stay awake we usually resort to less healthy foods that boost up our energy levels. But this is no good for our body. Get enough sleep and avoid eating too much high calorie foods.
Make a note of anything you eat. Mark it in your diary. See that you eat only fresh and less calorie food. Studies show that stresses generated at work makes people eat more. Have you undergone such a condition? well to make sure I recommend you to note everything you eat in your diary
